.tel search engines now available
May 14, 2009There are two search engines for .tel which look quite useful:
Like .tel, the Jepaa search engine is optimized for mobile use and supports different languages. It works independently from traditional search engines, so you won’t have to visit hundreds of websites which have nothing to do with .tel.
Jepaa has the look and feel of a .tel and allows you to search by Keywords and location.
This one, whilst it looks nice is effectively a disguised ‘Google Custom Search’. However, credit where credit is due, it appears to be effective and has a good look and feel to it.

What’s your .tel ?
May 4, 2009There is a lot of hype over what names people will be able to get. OK, so nearly all first names have gone, along with nearly all surnames. However, using both first name and surname will still be available to most people as the permutations are enormous. This is also probably the most appropriate format particularly for small businesses and the self employed. Realtors are a perfect example, as most Realtors advertise themselves in this way. JohnMcKenzie on the sunshine coast is a perfect example.
